Radio Imaging Technology (RIT)

Radio imaging technology is the art and science of producing medical images using x-radiation. These images are used for routine diagnostic needs or form part of complex investigations. Technologists produce images for a radiologist’s interpretation to aid in medical diagnoses. It is not a hazardous occupation. The dangers of radiation are well recognized and rigidly controlled. The conscientious technologist can derive much personal satisfaction as a contributor to the success of the health team and the well-being of the patient.
